Mountain Men Photos

Fredrick Remington Drawing " Mountain Men" - Mountain Men Photos

“Mountain Men”
Original Drawing – Fredrick Remington

NO Copyright symbol - Mountain Men PhotosAll photos included here are in the Public Domain in the United States of America unless noted otherwise. Western photographers are noted in the Players (if I have a workable date for them) [LOC = Library of Congress]. Nothing in the way of enhancement has been done to these photographs they are as originally produced.

Here are some Mountain Men Photos, some of the few that exist, of the hearty men who helped to define the coming of the Europeans to the Old West. Some just lived their times, some wrote or created art and music to represent and remember it. Others simply vanished into the vast unknown wilderness. A few returned to lead those who followed. Fewer still, tried to protect the land and its people. All have something to show/tell us, to help understand these early times…

Some of these individuals will have additional reference(s) in PLAYERS.
As with all of these “NEW” Photo pages, I’m adding things now and then…
